Renault 5 Turbo 3E

Motor heads rejoice, Renault is bringing back the iconic 5 Turbo with the all-electric Renault 5 Turbo 3E, a modern homage to the 1980s legends. Built on a bespoke platform, the Turbo 3E features rear-wheel drive and a widened wheelbase, giving it the length of a city car with the stance of a supercar. Its retro-inspired design includes square headlights, an aerodynamic front splitter, and a rear spoiler that nod to the original 5 Turbo and Turbo 2.

Underneath the aggressive styling, the 5 Turbo 3E is powered by two in-wheel electric motors producing a combined 540 hp, rocketing it from 0 to 100 km/h in under 3.5 seconds. The battery sits under the floor for better weight distribution and handling, while the car's 800-volt architecture supports rapid charging, meaning 15% to 80% in just 15 minutes.

Inside, the cabin blends sportiness with luxury. Lightweight carbon bucket seats, Alcantara trim, and a rally-style vertical handbrake give it a racing feel. Dual OpenR screens provide essential driving and multimedia info. Buyers can choose from a range of color schemes inspired by the original rally cars and personalize both the exterior and interior.

Renault will produce just 1,980 units, each numbered to honor the original 5 Turbo's 1980 debut. Reservations open soon, with deliveries set for 2027. The Renault 5 Turbo 3E combines retro charm with modern electric performance, redefining the concept of a "mini-supercar."
