Polestar 5
Polestar has finally lifted the curtain on its long-awaited flagship, the Polestar 5, a sleek fastback sedan that blends futuristic design with mind-blowing performance. Born from the 2020 Precept concept, the production model doesn’t just live up to expectations, it pushes them further, packing up to 884 horsepower, a bespoke aluminum platform, and cutting-edge tech throughout.
Available in two trims, the Dual Motor produces 748 hp and hits 60 mph in 3.8 seconds, while the Performance version delivers a staggering 884 hp and rockets to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds. Both are capped at 155 mph and powered by a massive 112 kWh battery with 800-volt architecture, supporting 350 kW charging for 10–80% refills in about 22 minutes. Range is equally impressive, topping out at 416 miles for the base model.
Design-wise, the Polestar 5 carries a low-slung, sculpted silhouette with sharp shoulders, dramatic proportions, and no rear window, replaced by a high-def camera. Inside, drivers are treated to a minimalist yet high-tech cabin, anchored by a 14.5-inch infotainment display running Google’s Android system, plus an optional 21-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system.
With its blend of performance, luxury, and sustainability, Polestar incorporates recycled aluminum and eco-conscious materials, the 5 aims squarely at rivals like the Porsche Taycan and Lotus Emeya. Deliveries are slated for 2026, with pricing expected north of $100,000.
