Kalmar Porsche 911 Restomod
Kalmar Automotive is bringing its renowned restomodded Porsche 911s to the U.S. market through a partnership with California's Canepa. The first model, the Kalmar 7-97 Classic, is now on display at Canepa’s showroom in Scotts Valley. Kalmar specializes in restomodding 964- and 993-generation Porsche 911s, drawing inspiration from the iconic 1970s Porsche 911 S/T and the 1997 Le Mans-winning Joest Racing Porsche.
The 7-97 Classic boasts a lightweight carbon fiber body and a 4.0-liter air-cooled flat-6 engine producing 401 hp, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. Designed for an engaging driving experience, it features adaptive suspension, carbon-ceramic brakes, and advanced safety features. Inside, the car is luxuriously appointed with Recaro sports seats and modern conveniences like Bluetooth audio and air conditioning. With only 12 units produced annually, each Kalmar 7-97 is a unique masterpiece for Porsche enthusiasts.
