stuff we drool about

Ford Bronco Vail

Another gem by "Classic Ford Broncos", a US company that specializes in restoring early model Ford Broncos. They hand-build only a small volume of Broncos each year, using only the best, original Ford Bronco bodies, and top of the line components. In fact, their restorations are unlike any other, they include an original, early model body, an expertly refurbished frame, new custom paint, new suspension, new wheels and tires, new bumpers, new wiring harness, line-x protected tub, new interior, new emblems and trim, new seals, new lights, and new hardware holding it all together. This masterpiece featured here, started as a 1968 model and was restored to perfection and finished with a stunningly beautiful black on black on black color scheme. Powering the beast is a Ford Racing 5.0L Coyote engine that delivers over 435 horsepower, 400 ft-lb of torque, and is mated to a 4R70W automatic transmission.

ZERO LABS ELECTRIC FORD BRONCO

While we wait anxiously for the debut of the 2020 Ford Bronco, we´ll keep drooling over the vintage version of the iconic 4x4. We have seen a variety of resto-modded models, but  Zero Labs is taking a different approach to restoring Broncos with an all-electric version built on an original chassis.  The company will work its restoration magic on the 1966-1977 Ford Bronco. Once finished, one such vehicle (just 150 are planned to see daylight) will ...

1964 Porsche 904 Carrera GTS

The 1964 Porsche 904 Carrera GTS was developed after Porsche scrapped its F1 program in favor of sportscar racing and hillclimbs. To meet FIA GT class homologation rules, Porsche built a racecar that could also qualify as a road car. The 4-cylinder 587/3 Fuhrmann engine was used instead of the planned flat-6 engine. The body was made of fiberglass, and the chassis was made of steel, making it lightweight and simple to keep costs low. The 904 weighed just 6...

Ineos Grenadier SUV

The spirit of Defender has reborn in the newly revealed Ineos Grenadier, a big and boxy, British-built all-terrain SUV. The Ineos Grenadier is less a shameless Defender copycat and more a living homage. Ineos founder Jim Ratcliffe, a self-described adventurer and Land Rover fan, tried to buy Defender back in 2016 when Land Rover retired the original Defender. After failing to secure the tooling to keep the Defender tradition alive, he set off on a mission to build t...
