Carbon Fiber 1969 Camaro

Finale Speed has unveiled its latest creation, the Viral, a restored 1969 Camaro with a carbon fiber body, 650bhp, and a modern drivetrain, chassis, and suspension. The worlds first exposed-weave carbon-fiber 69 Camaro, the Viral fuses classic looks with new materials. The body is fully carbon fiber, engineered to OE specifications using prepreg autoclave-cured material for lightness and strength.

The Virals interior features a custom-built four-point roll bar, VXR leather-covered seats, Alcantara accents, and a powerful Alpine stereo with multiple speakers and a subwoofer. The GM LT4 crate V8 engine delivers 650bhp and features a custom stainless-steel exhaust, a Wegner pulley system, and a VaporWorx fuel pump. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, a limited-slip differential, and new axles.

The Virals suspension includes front and rear subframes, oversized sway bars, and JRi coilovers, providing modern handling. The big Wilwood calipers with 14-inch rotors make short work of stopping duty and are covered in Forgeline three-piece VX3C-SL wheels wrapped in Toyo Proxes R888R 18-inch rubber. The result is a car that looks vintage but offers all the features of a modern supercar.

POWDER MONKEES YAMAHA SR500

Our latest custom motorbike crush is one of our favorite builds up to date, a 1978 Yamaha SR500 converted into a masterpiece by Chicago-based Powder Monkees. The bike was built in collaboration with Federal Moto, it was stripped to its essentials, fitted with a smaller tank, a 1970s headlight, mono-shock rear suspension, a custom leather seat and finished with a fresh, light color palette, minimalist parts choices, and some wild tires. The end result is a highly man...
