Boden Autohaus Blacked-Out Ferrari Testarossa

Few supercars have aged as gracefully as the Ferrari Testarossa, and this sinister creation from Boden Autohaus proves that the legendary Italian icon doesn't need much to make an even bigger statement. Based on the Ferrari 512 TR, the refined successor to the original Testarossa, this remarkable build trades the familiar Rosso Corsa finish for an intimidating matte-black appearance, complemented by an aggressive stance and beautifully selected aftermarket wheels.

The transformation begins with a complete matte-black wrap that accentuates the car's unmistakable wedge-shaped silhouette, dramatic side strakes, and impossibly wide rear end. Boden fitted a set of 19-inch HRE 501 FMR wheels, featuring satin-black centers and gloss-black outer rims. Their classic multi-piece styling feels perfectly suited to the Ferrari's 1990s heritage, while Nitron R1 coilovers give the car a noticeably lower, more purposeful stance. A front-axle lift system adds some welcome practicality when navigating steep driveways or speed bumps.

The upgrades go well beyond appearance. An Endless big brake kit provides enhanced stopping hardware, while a Capristo exhaust system gives the Ferrari's naturally aspirated flat-12 engine an even more dramatic voice. In standard form, the 512 TR's 4.9-liter engine produces approximately 428 horsepower, sending power to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. Boden hasn't published revised output figures for this particular example, but the original performance remains impressive more than three decades later.

What makes this build especially appealing is its restraint. Rather than adding an oversized body kit or redesigning the Ferrari's iconic lines, Boden lets the original Pininfarina styling do the talking. It's a different approach from the extensively reengineered Officine Fioravanti Ferrari Testarossa, yet the result is just as visually captivating.

With its stealthy finish, vintage-inspired HRE wheels, upgraded suspension, and unmistakable flat-12 soundtrack, this blacked-out Ferrari 512 TR strikes an impressive balance between classic Italian design and modern custom-car culture. Sometimes the most effective transformation is simply knowing what to leave untouched.
