2028 Citroen 2CV
The Citroen 2 CV Concept revives a familiar silhouette with a compact electric platform and a focus on affordable motoring. Unveiled at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, it previews a European-built model expected by 2028, with a target starting price of around €15,000.
At 3.76 meters long, the concept packages its cheerful proportions into a footprint suited to everyday errands. Round headlights, curved wings, and a flowing roofline make the connection immediately recognizable. The appeal lies in how naturally those shapes translate into a small contemporary car.
Inside, yellow tartan seats sit alongside a removable storage basket and a detachable radio that doubles as a portable speaker. A fabric sunroof adds to the relaxed character, while independently replaceable bumpers reflect an interest in easier repairs.
Citroen is targeting a weight of roughly one tonne, but battery capacity and driving range remain unannounced. This is still a concept, so the production specification remains to be seen. For now, its strongest promise is simple: a small electric car with personality and an accessible price.
