2026 Ferrari Luce Chassis 0

Ferrari is offering the first production chassis from its new Luce program at RM Sotheby’s Monterey auction. Identified by a dedicated “Chassis 0” plaque, the one-off car has been configured through Ferrari’s Tailor Made division and will be sold without reserve, with all proceeds benefiting future educational initiatives through The Ferrari Foundation. RM Sotheby’s places its value above $1.1 million.

The exterior is finished in Madreperla Semi-Gloss, a pearlescent white developed specifically for this car. Its bespoke pigment produces green-to-violet reflections as the light changes, while dedicated wheels, custom brake calipers, and Ferrari badges set against optical-white backgrounds extend the theme across the smallest details.

Inside, Ferrari uses Perla Le Mans metallic leather made from selected Swiss hides, paired with Grigio Corvara secondary elements rather than the usual black trim. The reflective materials are intended to distribute light through the cabin, creating a brighter and more continuous visual connection between the interior and exterior.

The Luce is Ferrari’s first fully electric production model, powered by four electric motors producing 1,050 cv. Ferrari quotes 0–100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, a 310 km/h top speed, and a driving range exceeding 530 kilometres. Following the auction, Chassis 0 will return to Maranello for completion, with final delivery currently scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.

GEAR GATE

Hoodworks is a new Oregon-based company that is trying to make the much-celebrated truck tailgate a little better. The replacement tailgate for pickup trucks can pack several functions into a space that is normally under-utilized, and has seen relatively few cha...

PORSCHE 911 BAJA

Developed and built by TJ Russell, this custom Porsche Baja 911 is now being offered for sale on the Collecting Cars auction site. We love this, partially because it is just cool looking and partially because it drives automotive purists up the wall. The impressive Baja Prototype is said to be the ultimate off-road 911, and the idea is to pay homage to the off road racing success Porsche had the mid 80s, using today´s technology and engineering to out-fit and upgra...
