stuff we drool about

1985 Porsche Safari

Safari-style Porsche 911 builds have become incredibly popular in the past few years, we have featured several here before. The latest build to catch our attention is this gorgeous 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera modified by Vali Motorsports of Corona, California, and currently up for grabs at Bring a Trailer. We love this, partially because its just cool looking and partially because it drives automotive purists up the wall. The apocalyptic 911 is powered by a 3.2-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle, and was given a lifted suspension, all-terrain tires, skid plates, a roll cage, and a limited-slip differential. Other details include a light pod mounted on the front trunk hood, a whale tail rear spoiler, a custom spare mounting rack on the rear windshield, mud flaps, a replacement windshield, plus a hydraulic handbrake for getting the tail out. Inside you will find carbon-fiber seats upholstered in black Alcantara, an electric sunroof, a MOMO Prototipo steering wheel, powder-coated paneling, floorboards, pedals, and a four-point roll cage, along with red six-point Sabelt harnesses. Amenities include air conditioning, power locks, power windows, and an aftermarket stereo with USB and Bluetooth connectivity.

Ineos Grenadier SUV

The spirit of Defender has reborn in the newly revealed Ineos Grenadier, a big and boxy, British-built all-terrain SUV. The Ineos Grenadier is less a shameless Defender copycat and more a living homage. Ineos founder Jim Ratcliffe, a self-described adventurer and Land Rover fan, tried to buy Defender back in 2016 when Land Rover retired the original Defender. After failing to secure the tooling to keep the Defender tradition alive, he set off on a mission to build t...

DTV SHREDDER | ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE

This all-terrain vehicle is called the DTV Shredder, because itīs a dual tracked vehicle, and it shreds any surface you can think of! DTVīs CEO says itīs a "mini tank that rides like a skateboard”, and we do think thatīs quite the accurate description for it, it can go up to speeds like 25 mph (40kmh), and thatīs fast on a small thing like this! With 6-point articulating suspension, cast aluminum swing arms, variable speed, CVT system and the original two paddle sty...
