Kimera EVO37 Brings 498 Hp and Rally Heritage to Auction
The 1976 Lancia Kimera EVO37 carries an older date than its appearance suggests. That year belongs to the Lancia Beta Montecarlo donor, while this completed Kimera left the workshop in March 2025. Number 018 of a planned 37 examples, it has covered just 237 kilometers and is heading to the Broad Arrow Zoute Concours Auction.
Inspired by the Lancia 037, the EVO37 combines a reworked chassis with carbon fiber bodywork. Its development involved engineers Sergio Limone and Claudio Lombardi, bringing experience from the original Lancia rally programs into the project. The result preserves the low, angular proportions while introducing thoroughly modern hardware.
An Italtecnica 2.1-liter four-cylinder uses both a supercharger and turbocharger to produce 498 hp and 550 Nm of torque. A six-speed manual sends that output to the rear wheels, with Öhlins suspension and Brembo carbon ceramic brakes completing the mechanical package. The exposed gear selector gives the cabin a particularly appealing focal point.
This example wears Luci del Bosco metallic brown with gold wheels, paired with beige leather over carbon bucket seats and a wooden gear knob. Broad Arrow will offer it in Knokke-Heist, Belgium, on October 9, 2026, with an estimate of €950,000 to €1.15 million. That figure is the auction estimate, with applicable taxes and buyer fees additional.
