Lacie Rugged SSD Drive

Storage company LaCie has introduced new rugged external SSD drives for videographers and photographers working on the go with full-sized media. Featuring LaCie’s proven rugged build, the new drive consists of the LaCie Rugged SSD ($179+), and the LaCie Rugged SSD Pro ($399+), each offering high durability alongside features targeted at different user needs. The non-Pro version offers up to 4K raw editing capabilities, speeds of up to 950 MB/s and is still IP67 rated, has a 3 meter fall tolerance, and crush resistance. The LaCie Rugged SSD Pro, features Thunderbolt 3 and USB 3.1, a Seagate FireCuda NVMe SSD with speeds up to 2800MBs, and an IP67 resistance rating against dust and water. This device is designed for digital imaging technicians and filmmakers dealing with up to 8K footage.
