Hypershell Halo Full-Leg Exoskeleton
The Hypershell Halo Full-Leg Exoskeleton adds powered knee support to wearable walking assistance. Four motors work across both hips and knees, helping with lifting each leg and supporting it as weight shifts onto it. The practical appeal extends beyond uphill walking to descending stairs, crouching, and standing up again.
The system delivers a claimed 1,490W of peak assistance, with more than 30 sensors feeding its HyperIntuition 2.0 movement-control software. Assistance adjusts to changes in movement and terrain, while selectable modes and adjustable power levels let users fine-tune the response. Halo is designed for outdoor activities and carrying loads, with a harness intended to accommodate larger backpacks.
Carbon fiber and titanium help limit weight, although the headline 2.6kg figure covers the rigid structure alone. With the harness, Halo weighs 3.2kg before adding the 370g battery. It folds to around eight liters for transport and carries an IP54 protection rating.
The removable 72Wh PocketVolt battery can sit at the waist or travel in a pocket or backpack. Hypershell rates it for up to 20km, measured during treadmill walking in Eco mode at 30% assistance. Steeper terrain, heavier loads, and higher assistance settings will affect that figure.
Listed at $2,299, Halo is available for preorder with shipping expected to begin in late November. It is designed for people who can already walk and balance independently. Its central promise is assistance across more phases of movement; it is not a medical or rehabilitation device.
