stuff we drool about

Arco Headphone Stand

The Arco Headphone Stand is the kind of object we like seeing more of. Simple, well made, and clearly designed by people who care about how things live in a space. Headphones are often the best looking piece of gear on a desk, yet they usually end up tossed over a monitor or buried under papers. Arco gives them a place that actually feels earned.

Carved from a single solid block of wood or stone, Arco feels closer to a small piece of furniture than a typical accessory. The smooth arc supports the headband naturally, keeping ear cups lifted and pads in good shape. Even without headphones resting on it, the stand looks complete, adding a quiet sculptural presence to a desk, shelf, or sideboard.

The material choices are thoughtful. Oak and walnut bring warmth and visible grain that blends easily with books and speakers. The stone options, Portuguese limestone or Guatemala marble, feel grounded and architectural, anchoring a corner of the room without calling attention to themselves. Nothing here feels like disposable tech.

What we appreciate most is that Arco improves daily habits in a subtle way. Picking up your headphones feels intentional, and putting them back becomes automatic. Desks stay cleaner, gear lasts longer, and the space feels calmer overall.

SKULLCANDY X ROC NATION AVIATOR HEADPHONES

Skullcandy were nice enough to send us a review unit, the Skullcandy & Roc Nation Aviator Headphones. At first glance, you get the sense the Headphones take design cues from Ray-Ban Aviator sunglasses. They are a collaboration with Jay-Z and LiveNation’s Roc Nation promotions outfit (maybe to compete against Beats by Dr. Dre?). The Aviator Headphones are great fashion accessories, they are a blend of leading edge neo-retro design and premium cons...
