Polaroid Mod Instant Camera
The Polaroid Mod Instant Camera makes experimentation part of the shooting process. A rotating dial around the lens gives direct access to four creative modes, while a separate brightness control lets you adjust exposure. The appeal is the physical interaction: choose an effect, compose the shot, and see what develops.
Double Exposure layers two images onto one print, letting you combine a portrait with a landscape or overlap different moments. Split Shot takes another approach, using an accessory that blocks part of the lens so you can photograph each half of the frame separately.
Light Painting uses a long exposure to record trails from moving light sources. Motion Freeze combines movement with a flash at the end of the exposure, creating a sharper subject alongside motion blur. Both encourage you to think about what happens during the exposure, rather than simply when to press the shutter.
