Leica has finally released the S3 medium format DSLR flagship. With a whopping 64-megapixel 30x45mm medium format sensor, the S3 has a 71% increase in resolution over the prior model, adding 15 stops of dynamic range and ISO sensitivity of 50000 for flexibility in a wide range of shooting scenarios. It can capture up to three still frames per second and records Cinema 4K that is captured from the entire width of the medium format sensor, at an also cinematic 24 fps. It also features built-in Wi-Fi connectivity, built-in GPS, a Maestro II processor which offers 2GB buffer memory, a 3" LCD with four programmable buttons, and a rugged body design with dust and splash-proof sealing that enables working in inclement weather conditions.
