Fujifilm Instax Pal 2 Digital Camera
Fujifilm has given its playful pocket camera a complete redesign with the new Instax Pal 2, replacing the rounded shape of the original with a miniature body inspired by the brand's classic cameras. Combining retro styling with modern digital photography, this palm-sized camera is designed to make everyday picture-taking more spontaneous and enjoyable, without the size or complexity of a conventional camera.
The redesigned body features a built-in optical viewfinder, a 1-inch LCD screen, and physical controls that bring a tactile, analog-inspired feel to the shooting experience. At its heart is a 10-megapixel CMOS sensor paired with a 28mm-equivalent f/2.2 lens, offering a versatile field of view for everyday photography. Users can switch between 10MP and deliberately lower-resolution 1MP images, while a dedicated dial provides access to 30 creative effects across five categories, including vintage, Y2K, and contemporary looks.
A separate lever lets users frame photos in Instax Mini, Square, or Wide formats, or shoot without a frame entirely. Holding the shutter captures up to ten consecutive images that can be combined into a flipbook-style Instax Animation. The included angle-adjustment accessory also makes it possible to position the camera for remote shooting, with the shutter controlled through a connected smartphone.
The Instax Pal 2 stores approximately 100 images internally, with microSD support for expanded storage. Bluetooth 5.1 and USB-C connectivity allow photos to transfer to the Instax Pal app for editing and sharing, while favorite shots can be printed using compatible Instax Link printers or hybrid instant cameras, sold separately. Unlike traditional Instax cameras, the Pal 2 does not print photos itself. Available in black and white, it's a charming alternative to smartphone photography that puts creativity and the simple pleasure of taking pictures first.
