Insta360 X6 Action Camera

The Insta360 X6 pushes 360-degree action cameras into more serious imaging territory with dual 1/1.1-inch sensors developed with Sony and a new triple-chip processing system. It can capture 8K 360 video at up to 50fps, giving users more freedom to reframe footage after shooting without sacrificing as much detail.

The X6 also introduces 10-bit color and native Dolby Vision, while Insta360’s FlowState stabilization and 360-degree Horizon Lock keep footage smooth even when the camera is moving aggressively. Replaceable lenses have been redesigned to be easier to swap, helping reduce the risk of a damaged lens ending a trip or shoot.

A 2600mAh battery delivers up to 140 minutes of 8K30 recording, and the camera is IP68 waterproof to 20 meters without an additional housing. The Invisible Selfie Stick effect remains one of the X-series’ biggest advantages, creating floating third-person shots that can look closer to drone footage than conventional action-camera video.

Editing has also become more automated. Insta360’s in-house AI model powers tools that identify highlights, add transitions, and assemble footage, while InstaFrame 2.0 is designed to make it easier to use the X6 as a more conventional handheld camera. The X6 is available in Midnight Black and Arctic White, with several bundles built around travel, cycling, skiing, diving, and content creation.
