Wikkelhouse

Wikkelhouse aims to help solving housing problems through innovative building techniques, developped by an Amsterdam based company called Fiction Factory. These units are made from cardboard based material (built from 24 layers of top-quality cardboard wound around a rotating house-shaped mould) that has a special treatment foil on the outside and wood panneling on the inside to make it weatherproof. You may choose and tailor the unit to your choice because it uses a modular concept using multiple sections to best suit your needs. Sustainably built to last, each house has a life span of around 100 years, so it will outlive you providing shelter and comfort for a solid number of years. It requires no foundation (weighs only 600kg) and the whole thing could be set up in just a day. When you order is ready, they will put it on a trailer and take it where ever you want your Wikkelhouse to be, a vacant lot of land, by the beach, in your office, on a boat, on a roof, or in a garden, the choices are endless. watch the video below

BAK Camden Portable Shelter

It is an 18 square metre black volume on wheels designed to stop somewhere, open up, and let you observe. The lower level does the most with the least. A longitudinal kitchen, full bathroom, and two condensed lounge areas occupy the floor plan without competing for space. The interior is deliberately d...
