Italian design brand Seletti has teamed up with BIC and designer Mario Paroli to transform one of the world's most recognizable everyday objects into a striking piece of lighting. The BIC Lamp recreates the iconic BIC Cristal ballpoint pen at an extraordinary 12:1 scale, turning a humble writing instrument into a sculptural statement piece that celebrates industrial design, nostalgia, and playful creativity.

Measuring an impressive 173 cm (68 inches) in length, the oversized pen faithfully reproduces the original's transparent hexagonal barrel, colored cap, and familiar proportions. Constructed from polycarbonate and high-density polyethylene, the lamp conceals a 22W LED light source that delivers 2,400 lumens of warm 3000K illumination. A three-meter cable provides flexibility for installation, while the elongated body creates a distinctive architectural presence without the visual weight of a conventional chandelier.

Available in classic blue, black, and red, the BIC Lamp can be displayed as a pendant light, mounted on a wall, or positioned as a floor lamp. Its appeal lies in the contrast between an inexpensive, disposable object and a large-scale design collectible. This unexpected collaboration demonstrates Seletti's talent for turning familiar objects into conversation-starting pieces of functional art.
