Change Plastic-Free Toothpaste

In addition to being bad for the environment, the amount of plastic in the ocean continues to grow, affecting wildlife and humans alike. Every year millions of empty toothpaste tubes are destined for landfill and oceans across the world each year. Toothpaste tubes take over 500 years to break down and are unable to be recycled. In order to combat this serious problem, Canadian entrepreneurs Mike Medicoff and Damien Vince have created a toothpaste that is plastic-free and comes in the form of a tablet. Change Toothpaste comes packaged in compostable paper bags, removing the need for a tube altogether, and contains mostly natural ingredients as well as some of the familiar elements found in traditional toothpaste like dicalcium phosphate and xylitol. Simply pop a single tablet in your mouth, bite down a couple of times, and brush with a wet toothbrush. It even smells, tastes and works just like a normal toothpaste.
