Kisawa Sanctuary

Kisawa Sanctuary, located on Mozambique's beautiful Benguerra Island, redefines luxury with a strong eco-conscious foundation. Spread across 750 acres of beachfront and sand dunes, the stunning resort features 22 bungalows designed with sustainable materials and local craftsmanship. Founder Nina Flohr combined modern innovation, like 3D-printed elements from sand and seawater, with traditional weaving and carpentry to create a harmonious connection with nature. Each villa, set on a private acre, offers stunning ocean views and complete privacy. The sanctuary also supports the Bazaruto Center for Scientific Studies, Africa's first permanent ocean observatory, where guests can engage in marine conservation activities. With a zero-waste policy and a focus on fresh, local ingredients, Kisawa blends comfort, culture, and sustainability in an unforgettable setting.
