Icehotel 25th Edition | Sweden
Need to chill? If so you have to check in this Swedish Icehotel. Located in the northern part of the country, in a small village that goes by the name of Jukkasjärvi, the hotel is rebuilt every year, this is going to be it´s 25th edition. They get about 50 000 visitors per season, most of them go for the tranquility and to see the amazing northern lights. The hotel is built using 1000 tons of ice they get from the Torne river and about 30,000 tons of snice (a mix of snow and ice). It´s built from November until December and is then used until mid April, when it melts away. It is beautiful and the fact that it´s ephemeral makes it so much more interesting, in fact it´s design changes each year making each season unique. There are about 100 people involved in the process, most of them are invited artists, dedicated to the special design of the hotel. They only have about 65 rooms available so make sure you´re quick to book a visit!
