Gawthornes Hut

Peaceful and rural retreats are dominating after a stressful year, and our latest find is a stunning modern refuge in rural New South Wales, Australia. Gawthornes Hut is a cozy off-grid cabin getaway with a clean, angular silhouette clad in galvanized steel, and runs totally off-the-grid with solar power and rainwater collection. Inside, the cabin is open, welcoming, and enveloped in warm wood. The retreat also features a kitchenette, a king-size bed, and bathroom with a freestanding tub. Large windows and glass doors also provide natural ventilation during the summer. Guests also have access to a patio with wooden benches and a fire pit.
