Skywatch

We are big fans of dive watches. Skywatch is a new US brand founded by Gabriel Ibarra, they make affordable Swiss-made timepieces. Skywatch’s range of Swiss-made dive watches puts a modern twist on a classic design. The folks at Skywatch were nice enough to send us a review unit of their stunning Stainless Steel Chronograph.

The presentation of the Skywatch is really outstanding, the watch comes in a sleek box (one of those "apple like" boxes) that you just can´t trough away. The Skywatch Chrono is immediately striking, it features a very attractive 44 mm matte stainless steel case with a sophisticated black and white enamel coated bezel, perfectly framing the clean matte black dial. The dial features Super Luminova graphics for effortless use in the dark. The remarkable strap included is a very stylish Italian sailcloth strap, lined in nubuck leather with a very original touch, signature blue loops!

The rugged, heavy duty and beautiful watch fits perfectly on the wrist and has an excellent fit. In all, it is a very well constructed watch with refined, attractive and thoughtful design. It is hard to grasp how Skywatch can put so much quality into a watch that costs $395!

As the company puts it... SKYWATCH is a serious Swiss-made dive watch that doesn take itself too seriously.

The company currently produces two styles, 3-hand collection, available in 38 mm or 44 mm diameter cases, and the chronograph collection, available in 44 mm diameter cases. All watches are 100m water resistant. Check out the models available on Skywatch´s cool website, or follow them on Facebook and Twitter.

It takes Dave 3 to 5 days working an average 4 hours for a perfect finish. The result are some awesome sunglasses that in their previous life have rolled down half pipes and pools, ridden inner cities and bombed down daunting hill...
