Parmigiani Fleurier Toric Chronometre

Parmigiani Fleurier is a Swiss brand of luxury watchmakers founded in 1996 in Fleurier, Switzerland, by Michel Parmigiani. For twenty years, the Parmigiani Fleurier signature has resided within timepieces that command utmost respect. Their latest masterpiece is a modernized interpretation of the first watch that Michel Parmigiani designed back in 1996.

The beautiful Toric Chronometre was given a facelift, but with no radical changes, keeping the spirit of the first model and pulling off an up-to-date look without losing its soul. The classical and timeless Toric style remains, and like many Parmigiani Fleurier watches, this elegant timepiece is also inspired by ancient Greek architecture. The relative simplicity of the case and lugs, and the reduced number of dial elements makes for a clear and attractive design that wears comfortably and modestly as a modern dress-style watch.

The dial is all about vintage clarity and simplicity while subtle details give it character. The Arabic numerals and sector-type display for the date, the coin-edge bezel, the half-railway minute track on the circumference, the two long Javelin hands, and a lot of "white space” on the dial, have been rather harmoniously blended together making its legibility very good.

The 40,8mm case houses Parmigiani’s proprietary Caliber PF331, a COSC certified movement visible from the beautiful caseback, and runs at 28,800 vph with a 55 hours power reserve.

The stylish Toric Chronometre offers a vibrant yet understated appearance, it is offered in several versions, and comes in two metals – white and red gold. The dials are available in black opaline or a white grained version, and the case is fitted with a very nice Hermes alligator strap and matching 18k gold buckle.
