NOOKA Watches: Futuristic Digital Timepieces

NOOKA watches reimagined the traditional digital watch with unconventional displays, geometric cases and bold colors. Created by designer Matthew Waldman, the New York-born design brand became known for presenting time through graphical interfaces rather than conventional hands or familiar digital numerals.

NOOKA produced an extensive collection of distinctive timepieces, including the colorful ZUB series, transparent-screen ZAZ, dual-display ZON and oversized ZEX. Different models experimented with bars, dots, blocks and numerical displays to create alternative ways of reading hours and minutes, giving the watches their unmistakably futuristic appearance.

The brand's timepieces are no longer in production, and NOOKA states that its archived watches are no longer available for sale through its website. The company is currently on hiatus while developing new products, but maintains an online archive documenting its influential watch designs.
