Garmin Instinct Tactical Edition
Garmin have introduced a "tactical" version of their impact-resistant Instinct watch presented last fall. The new Garmin Instinct Tactical Edition (Instinct TE) models differ in both their external design (two colors for choosing Black and Coyote Tan), and the presence of special functions that are found in the Garmin Tactix series watches. The Tactical Edition models feature a chemically enhanced display that supports night vision devices, a separate display backlight mode, advanced navigation system functions with support for the Military Grid Reference System (MGRS) coordinate system , as well as the ability to display two GPS coordinate systems simultaneously. Also new items are equipped with special tactical functions, these include improved navigation, a dual-frequency GPS receiver with positioning accuracy of up to 30 cm, the Jumpmaster option (skydiving), universal time scale, and preloaded tactical training profiles. Available in a choice of classic black and coyote tan (khaki).
