Nike SFB Leather Boots
The Nike SFB Leather Boots are back, and they still feel like one of Nike’s most practical cold weather sleepers. Originally introduced in 2009, the Special Field Boot was designed with military inspiration in mind, and that no nonsense mindset is exactly why it still works today.
The build mixes real and synthetic leather through the forefoot, eyelets, and heel, paired with ballistic nylon on the tongue and high ankle collar. That combination gives the boot structure where it matters while keeping things flexible and wearable. A water repellent finish helps keep feet dry, and while it is not officially under the ACG line, this boot is fully capable in wet and cold conditions.
Underfoot, a foam midsole adds everyday comfort, while the waffle inspired outsole made from Nike 004 Sticky Rubber delivers reliable traction on snow, slush, and uneven ground. Metal eyelets, spine loops, and military style tongue branding round out the utilitarian look without pushing it too far into costume territory. In our view, that balance is what makes the SFB easy to wear beyond purely tactical settings.
The Nike SFB Leather Boot is available in three strong colorways including Triple Black, Golden Beige with Sail, and Rough Green with Bamboo and Umber camo. It is not AR compliant, but as a durable winter boot with real grip and heritage appeal, it still earns its place in rotation.
