Underfoot, a Vibram Megagrip and Litebase outsole delivers serious traction with 4mm lugs and an extra wide 125 mm forefoot that increases surface contact on slippery ground. The dual density midsole balances rebound and stability, using a supercritical foam forefoot that delivers noticeably higher energy return while an elastomer frame adds structure through uneven landings.
The engineered mesh upper stays breathable on long climbs, reinforced with TPU overlays for durability and a stable hold. A TPU exoskeleton supports the heel for cleaner, more confident foot strikes, and the polyester lining keeps out sand and fine debris. Kailas also includes its AWS 3.0 two-zone tightening system that helps secure the toes on descents and locks the midfoot in place when speed picks up.
