Vollebak Solar Charged Jacket

Vollebak is an experimental adventure brand, their products help athletes push their physical and cognitive limits in new and unimagined ways. Their Solar Charged Jacket glows like kryptonite! Made from a highly responsive material that can be charged by exposing it to almost any light source, itís one of the most technologically advanced jackets ever made. In daylight the jacket is light grey in colour, but its made from a highly responsive fabric thats charged by the sun or any other light source, so that when it starts to get dark, the jacket starts to glow. With just a couple of hoursí charge from sunlight it can still be glowing up to 12 hours later. And there are no batteries or electronics involved!

You can see the instantly reactive fabric at work in as little as 2 seconds, by holding your iPhone torch against the surface of the fabric as if you were using a pen on paper. The fabric reacts the moment light strikes it. Thereís no time lag or warming up. It will start glowing instantly and leave a trail of light. Which means that one of the most fun things you can do with it is write or draw on it just using your phone.

Whether youíre heading out training in the dark, running an ultra through the mountains, climbing, riding, or out on the water, it works as a phenomenal lightweight rain jacket, windbreaker, emergency layer or safety device. And itís ultra light and packable at 230g so takes very little space or weight when not being worn.
