Vollebak is an experimental adventure brand, their products help athletes push their physical and cognitive limits in new and unimagined ways. Their new Blue Morpho Jacket is the most sci-fi piece of kit they’ve ever made, a light-reflecting hardshell made from 2 billion glass spheres. Designed to recreate nature’s most brilliant solution to high visibility (the iridescent wings of the Blue Morpho butterfly) each jacket has been engineered with lasers, resin and over 2 billion microscopic glass spheres. The result is a crazily reflective ski and snowboard jacket that can shift from matt blue to a bionic blue in a nanosecond as it’s exposed to light.
