Theon Design Porsche 911 Restomod

Theon Design, a UK-based specialist in the restoration and modification of classic cars, has unveiled its latest creation, the BEL001 Porsche 911 (964). This bespoke commission for a customer in Belgium blends the companys core values of world-class design and engineering with a number of exciting firsts. The BEL001 features Theons first-ever 400bhp supercharged flat-six cylinder engine and semi-active suspension, which results in a redefined 911 that takes the air-cooled experience to exhilarating new heights.

The BEL001 is a fully restored Porsche 911 (964) that features a number of modifications to create a unique driving experience. The most notable is the 3.6-liter flat-six engine that has been fitted with a Rotrex supercharger. The engine is mounted on the right side of the engine bay, where the original air conditioning was installed, and produces 400 horsepower and 367 pound-feet of torque. The twin charge coolers are located on the opposite side of the engine, creating a symmetrical layout.

The car also features a fully rebuilt five-speed manual gearbox and a stainless-steel exhaust system. The use of carbon fiber obtained from a Formula 1 supplier helps keep the weight of the car down to just 1,265 kilograms. The OEM air conditioning has been replaced with a lighter and more efficient setup, and the car now boasts a semi-active suspension that provides an even more exhilarating driving experience.

The BEL001 is a true masterpiece of design and engineering, and it is clear that a lot of time and effort has gone into creating this bespoke commission. Theon Design requires 18 months to complete a car like this. With all of the hardware changes made to the 964, Theon Design has achieved an almost perfect 50:50 weight distribution, resulting in an even more engaging driving experience.

In conclusion, if you are a discerning Porsche enthusiast and are looking for a unique driving experience, the BEL001 is definitely worth considering. With Theon Designs core values of world-class design and engineering, combined with a number of exciting firsts, the BEL001 sets a new standard for modified Porsche 911s. With its supercharged engine, semi-active suspension, and lightweight carbon fiber body, this bespoke commission is sure to provide a thrilling driving experience that is hard to match.
