Porsche 911 Baja
Developed and built by TJ Russell, this custom Porsche Baja 911 is now being offered for sale on the Collecting Cars auction site. We love this, partially because it is just cool looking and partially because it drives automotive purists up the wall. The impressive Baja Prototype is said to be the ultimate off-road 911, and the idea is to pay homage to the off road racing success Porsche had the mid 80s, using today´s technology and engineering to out-fit and upgrade it to the most capable, versatile, dual sport air cooled 911 on the planet. They have extended the wheelbase three inches and the track a humongous 14 inches, developed an exclusive front suspension system, and reduced the overall weight by 400 pounds. It also boasts Lexan racing windows, a string of hood-mounted LED rally lights, fat Toyo racing tires, a full roll cage, and huge fenders. The beast is powered by a 3.8-liter flat-six engine designed by Rothsport Racing that provides 365 horsepower and 310 ft-lb of torque. See the car in action in the video below.
