MINI JCW x Deus
MINI and Deus Ex Machina have joined forces to create two one-off John Cooper Works builds that blend heritage, craftsmanship, and bold design. At the heart of the collaboration are two very different takes on the MINI JCW: The Skeg and The Machina.
The Skeg is an all-electric JCW wrapped in a vivid yellow and silver finish, designed with surfers in mind. Semi-transparent fiberglass panels shave weight, while a surfboard-inspired spoiler and roof straps nod directly to coastal life. Inside, neoprene seats and fiberglass storage trays bring surf culture into the cabin, making it as functional as it is stylish.
The Machina takes the opposite path, powered by a combustion engine and rooted in motorsport DNA. Its red, white, and black livery pays tribute to MINI’s rally history, with wide fenders, four bonnet-mounted light pods, and a Can-Am-style rear spoiler. The stripped-down interior keeps things raw and purposeful, featuring a roll cage, racing harnesses, and old-school toggle switches.
Both cars showcase MINI’s racing spirit and Deus’ disruptive design language, celebrating authenticity and performance in equal measure. They won’t be hitting dealerships anytime soon, but they stand as bold statements of what happens when two icons collide.
