The production version will only be seen in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, but in anticipation of the Shanghai Motor Show next weekend, Mercedes-Benz have given us already a first look at the GLA Concept. The compact crossover vehicle will come equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine or a diesel counterpart, both with 300hp. It will be available sometime in 2014 with 7-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission.

RYVID ANTHEM ELECTRIC MOTORCYCLE

Ryvid, a startup in California, has unveiled the Anthem electric motorcycle as its first offering. The Anthem employs a motor totally enclosed in the swingarm and a replaceable 4.3kWh battery pack good for 75 miles of range and a top speed of 75 MPH. It is built around a stainless steel frame that weighs just 12 pounds.
