Audi Formula 1 Race Car
Audi is officially entering Formula 1, and the new Audi R26 Concept offers a bold preview of its 2026 debut. The Audi Formula 1 Race Car will hit the track for the first time at the Melbourne Grand Prix in March 2026, representing a new chapter for the German automaker as it takes on the pinnacle of motorsport under the Revolut F1 Team name.
Finished in titanium, carbon black, and Audi Lava Red, the R26 showcases Audi’s fresh design language—minimalist, technical, and emotionally charged. The car’s dramatic diagonal color "cut” highlights its next-generation hybrid power unit, built to comply with the 2026 F1 regulations that emphasize sustainable fuels and an electric power share of nearly 50%.
Audi’s lineup combines experience and talent, with Nico Huelkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto behind the wheel, and leadership from Mattia Binotto and Jonathan Wheatley. Beyond racing, the project symbolizes Audi’s broader transformation, leaner, faster, and more innovative.
From quattro rally dominance to Le Mans and Formula E victories, Audi’s motorsport heritage has always driven progress. Now, with the Audi R26 Formula 1 Race Car, the brand merges its legendary engineering with cutting-edge hybrid technology.
As CEO Gernot Dollner puts it, "We’re not entering Formula 1 just to be there. We want to win." And with the R26, Audi looks ready to do exactly that.
