1989 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ62
This stunning 1989 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ62 has been completely reborn by Bader Ink of Calabasas, California, blending classic off-road charm with modern power and comfort. Completed in September 2025, the build swaps the original engine for a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 paired with a 4L65-E automatic, delivering 430 horsepower through a dual-range transfer case for serious off-road muscle.
The exterior was stripped down for a glass-out metallic gray repaint, with new weatherstripping and black accents throughout. Beneath, a lifted Old Man Emu suspension, 17-inch alloy wheels, and 33-inch RBP tires give it a rugged stance ready for any trail. The undercarriage, brakes, and exhaust were fully overhauled, including MagnaFlow mufflers and a three-row aluminum radiator.
Inside, the FJ62 gets a luxe refresh with black leather and plaid upholstery, Speedhut digital gauges, Apple CarPlay, and a rearview camera, a perfect fusion of retro aesthetics and modern convenience. With only 1,200 miles since the rebuild, this meticulously restored icon offers the reliability of a modern drivetrain with the unmistakable soul of a vintage Land Cruiser.
Currently offered on consignment in Arizona, this one-of-a-kind FJ62 is a head-turning restomod that honors Toyota’s heritage while pushing its performance into a new era.
