stuff we drool about

1981 Audi Quattro

Petrolheads rejoice, this 1981 Audi Quattro is now an acquisition possibility, this one in particular has some cool history that goes along with it. Originally built to be a VAG press car, it was one of the first Quattros imported to the UK, registered in 1981. It later went into competition in 1982 in the fabulous group B series, prepared by David Sutton Motorsport/Audi UK although initially used as a recon and practice unit but then in 1983 it did race on the Rothmans Circuit of Ireland, in 85 in the Madeira rally and the subsequent years to up to 87. Brought back to the UK in 1990 it underwent a full restoration and stayed in a private collection up until now. It should also be mentioned that it has been subject of several engine interventions to keep it updated and fully functional, these works have been done by recognised Audi competition specialist Lehmann Motoren of Triesen, Lichtenstein, and Dialynx also specialists in motorcars, located in Swindon. The car is also fully packed with photos and documents that ensure you’ll get an original product in mint competition condition. If you love rally legends be sure to check this one out.
