The team behind the popular Transparent Speaker have launched a new, extremely limited range of handcrafted speakers entitled UPCRAFTED. The collection consists of three speakers, one in wood, one in steel and one in ceramics, with each crafted from recycled materials. Our pick from the collection is the Steel Speaker, a heavy beast handcrafted by blacksmith Jonas Majors that has only the most essential elements and showcases the raw metal texture of aged steel that has been skilfully repurposed. The numbered limited-edition piece offers premium sound via two 3-inch drivers, a 6.5-inch woofer and a built-in amplifier, and is Bluetooth-enabled and compatible with phones, tablets and computers, as well as Apple AirPlay, Sonos, Amazon Echo and Google Cast.
