Apple HomePod

The much-awaited Apple HomePod is officially available for pre-order from today. The new Siri-equipped speaker takes on the Amazon Echo and Google Home in the race to be the smart home speaker of choice. The sleek device features a large woofer and seven beam-forming tweeters arrayed 360 degrees around the body, to produce big sound in a portable package. It also features a six-microphone array to enable seamless voice controls via Siri even when the speaker is at a loud volume, and with the free software update later this year, users will be able to play music throughout the house with multi-room audio. watch the video below
