Katim R01 Ultra-Secure Smartphone
Cybersecurity firm DarkMatter have launched a mobile phone touted to be the first ultra-secure smartphone in the world that has been specially designed to withstand extreme field conditions. Katim R01 features maximum protection against mobile security threats, it uses active physical and real-time monitoring to detect intrusions, which trigger the device to wipe user’s data, and for confidential discussions, the phone´s "shield mode" securely cuts off microphones and cameras while still powered and online. Its full suite of apps is encased in a hardened, tamper-proof hardware and contains a hardened OS with a hardware-based crypto root of trust. Being smart and secure, it is also extremely durable, it has a hardened case designed to meet military standards, making it shockproof and waterproof (can be immersed in water for 30 minutes). The device also includes a built-in barometer, temperature and humidity sensors which are designed to help the phone withstand vibrations, water, dusty, altitude and extreme temperatures. Powered by the Snapdragon 845 chipset, the Katim R01 also includes good grip, extra loud audio for noisy environments, dedicated buttons for Push-to-Talk and SOS, and a touch screen that continues to work even when you wear a glove.
