The Dark Side Of The Moon Box Set
Pink Floyd’s "The Dark Side Of The Moon" was a monumental album that has continued to captivate audiences since its release in 1973. To celebrate its 50th anniversary, a collector’s edition box set has been designed by Pentagram Partners Harry Pearce and Jon Marshall.
This limited edition box set includes a new hardback book featuring photographs by Jill Furmanovsky, Storm Thorgerson, and Aubrey "Po" Powell, as well as a CD and gatefold vinyl of the remastered ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ studio album, and Blu-Ray + DVD audio with the original 5.1 mix and remastered stereo versions.
The box set also includes an additional Blu-ray disc of Atmos mix, a CD and LP of "The Dark Side Of The Moon – Live At Wembley Empire Pool, London, 1974, a 160-page hardback photo book, a music book, replica 7" singles, and memorabilia.
The design of the box set was inspired by the iconic prism design of the original album cover, with the nested sarcophagus and the layers revealing memorabilia. The boxes were designed to create a sense of discovery, using different materials for each layer and intricate cardboard engineering. The box set is a work of art that pays tribute to the original concept while adding an empathetic framework. This collector’s edition box set is a must-have for any Pink Floyd fan or collector.
